Sticky Missing Textures, Models, or Map

Follow these steps in order:
  1. In Garry's Mod, go to the Main Menu, open Options > Game and change
    • When a game server tries to download custom content to your computer: Allow all custom files from server
    • After selecting that option, click OK
  2. Exit Garry's Mod and wait for it to close completely
    • It will no longer show up as Running in Steam
  3. Make sure Steam is done downloading Garry's Mod - Workshop Content
    • Click Downloads at the bottom of Steam to see its progress
    • If it's In Queue, click the Up Arrow next to it to make Steam download it
  4. Start Garry's Mod and wait for it to mount Workshop Content
    • The Workshop notification should no longer appear at the bottom
  5. Try rejoining the server

If that doesn't work, try Validating Garry's Mod:
  1. Exit Garry's Mod and wait for it to close completely
    • It will no longer show up as Running in Steam
  2. In Steam, right click on Garry's Mod in the game list
  3. Click Properties... from the dropdown that appears
  4. Click the Installed Files tab
  5. Click Verify integrity of game files
  6. Wait for Steam to finish validating Garry's Mod
  7. Once it's 100% complete, Close out of the Properties windows
  8. Start Garry's Mod and wait for it to mount Workshop Content
    • The Workshop notification should no longer appear at the bottom
  9. Try rejoining the server
  10. (Note) Validating Garry's Mod will remove GModCEFCodecFix if you had it! Re-run the tool after it's done to re-install the patches.
