Ban Reason

Donation refunded per ToU

I was refunded of my donation status of $5.00 several months back to regular for personal reasons but is there a way this is a permanent offense?

And also, what does tou stand for? Terms of Usage?

Why You Should Be Unbanned

The reason I requested a refund was I just wanted to be a regular. I mostly play music videos/interesting videos that I'd want to share and loved gmod theater since 2009 and being banned like this is pretty devastating to say the least. If the server needs money then ill gladly donate all the money I have. I have to take care of my family my 3 disabled siblings, my life is screwed up and uncommon as it is, gmod theater was my medicine to escape and it's troubling to see what kind of petty things over 5 single dollars can do, it used to be a magical fun place but I don't really care if i get banned forever for this I might as well move on and seek new experiences.

Good Evening,

I was the one who banned you. Your Ban Information is as follows: Donation Refunded per ToU. Permanent.

On October 27th, we received an email that said:
Hello there I am requesting a refund in the amount of 5$. The very reason because my son had paid 5 dollars on my specific account without my consent. He will pay on his own paypal account just not on mine.
About 24 hours later, we received a follow-up email that said:
I am still waiting for the reply on this situation, I will do everything in my power to escalate this to a claim, I will waste no time to this.
About an hour later, we responded with this:
I've refunded the transaction, however it must be noted that if the Steam ID associated with that donation does not receive another donation within 14 days (ending on November 11th), the Steam Account will be permanently banned from our Garry's Mod Server. Normally, the Steam Account would be banned automatically as it has been over 7 days since the transaction took place (in accordance with the Terms of Use and Disclaimer located on our Donate Page), however in this case we will be extending a 14 day grace period as this appears to be extenuating circumstances.

As we said in our response email, you had until November 11th to re-donate and avoid being banned due to breaking our Donation Terms of Use (ToU), as we believed in good faith that you had extenuating circumstances. We actually waited all the way until December 26th, which was 1 month and 15 days after our deadline.

Seeing as you:
  • Have changed your story/reason for wanting a refund
  • Were given over 2 months to re-donate and avoid being banned due to your refund
  • Deleted this thread with the reason, "go fuck yourself"
  • Posted in the Shout Box on these Forums with the message, "Im going to burn this server down to the ground"
  • Changed your Forums Avatar to porn
  • And attempted to bypass your ban with an alt
I see absolutely no reason why we should unban you. Good Day.
